I grew up exploring the Massachusetts shoreline and now live along the Connecticut coastline where my husband and I raised our son. I write books with heart, humor and to encourage curiosity.
I am a former broadcast news journalist, freelance essayist and syndicated columnist for Gatehouse News Service. My column about homeschooling my son was read in over 250 print newspapers nationally, as well as online.
I was also a public relations director where I was a spokesperson for a major U.S. aquarium.
I teach an ongoing adult memoir writing workshop where I encourage writers to craft their life stories. I am a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. (SCBWI)
